MISSION STATEMENT
After years of promoting the American art scene, Compound Gallery has realized that something is missing... independent and underground Japanese artists have no voice here and we want to change that. Each time we travel to Japan, we meet more of these exceptional artists, and are impressed by their innovative, fresh ideas. At the same time, the American art scene is hungry for new and original artists to follow. It is time to expose the American audience to Japanese artworks. It is time to bring together the American art collector and the Japanese artist. This is our goal at Compound Gallery.

DENNIS HAYES
DENNISHAYESIV.COM
With the exception of his studies in the arts at Alfred University artist Dennis Hayes IV, has dwelled in the aftermath of industrialized cities (Buffalo, New York and Detroit, Michigan ). Taking cues from these rust belt metropolises, the scientific and technical approach of the naturalist arts movement, the influence of niche counter cultures and his background in industrial design, he has integrated a signature style of harvesting found materials and a conceptual approach to the environment of his character based paintings. Hayes has participated in shows seaboard to seaboard in United State and has also shown internationally in Toronto, Montreal, Victoria BC and Hamburg, Germany.
KRISTIAN OLSON
KRISTIANOLSON.COM
Combining elaborately designed digital artwork, giclee printing, and acrylic paint Kristian creates otherworldly entities and structures that beg for exploration. With the use of detailed characters, embellishment, and coded type, he crafts a sense of mysterious purpose in each of his pieces, yet his own goal is to attack the very notions of purpose and meaning via his personal war on words and language. The key players in his work are mystery and experience, unencumbered by words.

Kristian lives and works in southern California. After studying design at the University of California at Los Angeles, and an eight year career as a graphic designer, Olson has returned to his first love of fine art and illustration.
ROBERT HARDGRAVE
FARMERBOBSFARM.COM
A self-developed artist, Robert creates work both highly intricate and abundant with personal symbols. Inspired by experiences from disease and recovery, his paintings and drawings reflect ideas of reincarnation and the richness of life beyond death.

Robert Hardgrave has inhabited the city of Seattle, WA for the past 15 years. He adores coffee, delicious breakfasts, and listening to metal.
